This concept came to my attention about a month ago, but it’s just fantastic enough to share. A Boston-based designer and blogger created a set of hypothetical MBTA system maps, demonstrating what a useful subway would look like—one that would be both worth the prices we pay, and comparable to the scope of other major cities’ public transportation.
being a bad blogger
I’m been neglectful but busy (today is the last day of my summer class, and I’ve two freelance webdesign gigs going), though I will be making more of an effort to keep this current. I’m definitely a nonstop information aggregator (as evidenced by my del.icio.us account!) and will try to [...]
best of Harvard Square
I love Harvard Square. I’ve worked here for over seven years, and lived in Cambridge proper for two of them. In that time, I’ve seen so much change. Just one shopfront in that time has transformed from PacSun to Abercrombie to a Citizen’s Bank. And the banks—they are taking over. [...]

summertime!

BYO snacks and drinks, or buy them there. Best of all: it’s completely free! Movies start at dusk.
New Shoe Review & a Love-Letter to Boston
Sunday afternoon, I found myself at one of my favorite intersections in Boston: Boylston and Newbury, right by Copley Square. The weather was all wrong for being there, but I had a long-overdue appointment to match my winter-bleh to my summer-golden haircolor, and my salon is directly across from the Public Library. Athena Salon, formerly Linea Aveda.
