I’m frantically writing a blog entry encapsulating the amazing wonderfulness of the past two weeks, trying to finish my final project for my 3D animation class, and percolating a few dozen other plans.
But I had to share http://dressregistry.com. The site design is horribly ugly, but the function is brilliant. It’s a place for women to “register” the gowns they will be wearing to various Inaugural Balls to avoid showing up wearing the same thing as someone else (like Laura Bush and her three döpplegangers at the 2006 Kennedy Center Honors).
But the more fun function of the site is being able to see pictures of which dresses will be worn to which party! Actually, they’re pretty matronly-boring for the most part, but it still appeals to me enough to have squandered a few procrastinative minutes peeking.
