Each day, two or three new articles appear on the top of each column. If you read nothing else, ever, you will be a well up-to-speed news- and culturewise only reading this once a day. What I love is that while, yes, it covers some of the same things you’d otherwise run across, it is an excellent aggregator of some more offbeat and unusual—but always nevertheless, really relevant and fascinating—stories.
I’m also a recent fan of feministing, which I only just discovered a few weeks ago, and have been enjoying very much. It’s easy to keep up with since they only update 2-3 times a day, and so I can peek at it once or twice a week and not feel as though I’m missing a lot. Excellent commentary on current events, with a fun, intelligently snarky p.o.v.
