portfolio public (limited time only!)

My final project (online portfolio), which I have been raving about, is actually online. Fancy that!

It only exists on a Harvard University server which will be wiped clean at the end of the semester (approximately the end of May). You can take a peek, though.

That alias, again, is http://chrisbean.notlong.com. Keep in mind it was developed for a class assignment rather than for its intended purpose, and there were rules I had to follow, and requirements to meet that I do not necessarily agree with for my actual site nor enjoy complying with. This site was designed for a grade, not for myself, nor for my audience.

It’s not perfect; there are things I still need to revise|fix|change, but because it’s for a grade, and deadlines are enforced, I am barred from touching the thing after 6am yesterday morning. So it will reappear at a different url, with a radically reconfigured architecture though similar look, and probably under a modified name, by the end of June.

After that (or possibly before, maybe), I’m turning to making Jamie’s website. I designed him some calling cards to take to New Orleans based on the hypothetical motif of his site. Of course, he did not choose the design that I would have had him use, but that is merely the designer/client cliché in action. Here’s what he’s handing out to all the famous people at the Saints & Sinners Literary Festival:
