I always know summer has arrived when the Boston Harbor Hotel posts its Movies by Moonlight schedule. This is an amazing venue: a gorgeous outdoor patio right on the water with outdoor dining and plenty of additional seating, a broad staircase leading down, popcorn and ice-cream vendors (for quick supply-runs during intermission!), and a full-sized movie screen 30 feet out over the ocean. BYO snacks and drinks, or buy them there. Best of all: it’s completely free! Movies start at dusk.

I greased my baseball glove today.It was like something long-dead returning to life, the ash-grey gone golden beneath my fingers. That magical scent—sand and sunshine—rose up from everywhere, heady and thick, and the leather seemed to turn warm from the inside.I fit my fingers in their places, and felt whole. A Digression

Taking a break from the design of the new site. Yes, my final project for class is due this Thursday. And yes, I took off yesterday to play pseudo-hostess at Jamie’s party. Actually, this isn’t quite accurate: I spent the entire morning wresting with the html and framesets and with attempting to make .ai files open in either my powerbook or my pc without actually having Illustrator installed on either computer.
